History: Mountain Savory (Satureja montana) has been used historically as a general tonic for the body. Both Mountain Savory species were noticed by virgil as being among the most fragrant of herbs, and on this account, recommended to be grown near bee-hives. The Savory plant was cultivated in remote ages, before the East Indian spices were known and in common use.

Wild Crafted: Both Summer & Winter Savory are Wild Crafted. Wild Crafted Oils are usually organic but not certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Wild crafted oils are grown wild, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides - grown naturally in areas where the plants are native to the region. Not commercially cultivated.
