Carpet Deodorizer

Carpet Deodorizer

20 drops Cinnamon Leaf

40 drops Orange Sweet

40 drops Lavender French

1 cup Baking Soda

This is a carpet freshener. Mix ingredients in a container. Cover and set aside for 24 hours.

Sprinkle mixture on carpet, leave for 10 minutes. Vacuum.

Carpet Deodorizer

10 drops Lemon

20 drops Lavender French

10 drops Tea Tree

1 (16 oz) box of baking soda

Add the baking soda to a large bowl and then add the essential oils. Be sure to mix the oils into the baking soda well.

Since lemon essential oil is normally yellow, it is essential that it is mixed well into the baking soda so that no undiluted lemon oil stains your carpet. This blend may be adapted to use your favorite essential oils, but strive to add essential oils that offer antibacterial and disinfectant properties to give the deodorizer an added benefit (the oils in this blend work to accomplish that). After you have blended the oils into the baking soda seal tight and set aside for 24 hours, then sprinkle on carpet and let set for 15 minutes, then vacuum up. This deodorizer can be stored in a glass jar or airtight container. You can, also, drop several drops of essential oil on a cloth and put it in the collecting bag of your vacuum.

Carpet Cleaner for Steam Cleaning Machine

hot water

1/4 cup white vinegar

3 tsp clear dishwashing soap (non-moisturizing)

2 drops Lemon essential oil

1/4 cup lemon scented ammonia

An inexpensive alternative to the store-bought variety. To check for color-fastness: Stir together the first 3 ingredients into a large container

(gallon-plus sized). Add water; enough to equal one gallon. Follow steam-cleaner manufacturer's directions for operating instructions.

Natural Carpet Deodorizer

Lavender French essential oil

1 Cup (4oz) of dried lavender flowers

1 Cup of Baking Soda

Here is a quick and exciting recipe for a fragrant carpet deodorizer made from all natural ingredients and sure to fill your home

with the splendid aroma of fresh Lavender. Mix the ingredients together in a large jar and add 5-6 drops of Lavender essential oil. Tightly close the jar with a fitted lid and shake well. It is now ready to be sprinkled to the carpet and keep in mind that your deodorizer will work best if allowed to sit in the carpet for about and hour. Enjoy!

Remove Tuff Carpet Stains

2 drops Lavender French Fine Organic

Equal parts vinegar and water

Mix and use to remove tough stains including grass, perspiration, rust, jam, coffee, orange juice, wine, beer, ketchup,

barbeque sauce, chili, urine and pet stains. TIP: Never use warm or hot water on stains containing sugar!

Add the baking soda to a large bowl and then add the essential oils. Be sure to mix the oils into the baking soda well. Sprinkle the deodorizer onto your carpet (use of a discarded but clean large spice container that has holes for "shaking" out the spice works well for this). Allow the deodorizer to work its magic for 10-20 minutes and then vacuum normally.

Homemade Carpet Freshener

2 drops Rosemary Verbenone Organic

10 drops Lavender French

2 cups baking soda

Empty 2 cups of baking soda in a glass or ceramic bowl; with the back of a metal spoon get rid of the lumps. Add essential oils,

more or less, your own nose will guide you, distribute well. Add the lavender and rosemary, mix and then put in a plastic bag or glass container. Without the essential oil it is ready to use, otherwise leave for 2-3 days so the oil will not be wet anymore, (that can cause stains on the carpet! always check before use) To use: sprinkle desired amount on the carpet, leave for a few hours then vacuum.

1 cup febreeze generic cleaner or white vinegar

1 scoop oxiclean stain remover/cleaner

2 drops Lavender Absolute

An inexpensive solution, and it works! Be sure to test for colorfastness: Dab a small amount of cleaner onto inconspicuous area of carpet or upholstery. Stir together the febreeze generic cleaner, essential oil, and oxiclean stain remover into a large (gallon-plus) container. Add hot water; enough to measure one gallon. Follow steam-cleaner manufacturer's directions for operating instructions.

Your Signature Scented Carpet Deodorizer

1 teaspoon essential oil of your choice

1 pound box baking soda

Mix using a fork to work out lumps. Sprinkle on carpet. Vacuum after 1 hour.
