Herbal Oil For Scar Tissue

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  2 drops Calendula Absolute
1/2 ounce rose hips seed oil
  120 drops Jojoba Carrier Oil
  3 drops Chamomile German

This combination of herbal extracts may help soften and face scar tissue over time. Don't give up after just a few applications!! It takes time for herbals to work. You can double this recipe to make an ounce.

Makes : 1/2 ounce.

Combine the CO2 extracts in a small container and allow to sit for at least a week. This allows time for the herbals to mellow together before suspending them in the carrier. Add the CO2 blend to the rose hips seed oil and shake gently. It's best to use a dropper bottle for this treatment so it can be more easily dispensed. Apply enough to massage easily and evenly into scar tissue 1-2 times daily. Massage gently yet firmly to help soften the scar tissue and facilitate healing. The herbals in this treatment may discolor clothing so be careful to massage it fully into skin before putting on clothing to avoid staining.

Lip or Perfume Balm

    Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
Add a few drops of essential oil of your choice.  (Do not exceed 5 drops at least the first time.)
1/2 cup Sweet Almond or other carrier oil (not mineral oil)
1 tbsp. honey or 1 capsule of vitamin E (squeeze vitamin E from pierced capsule - throw capsule away)
1 oz. beeswax (If too soft add more beeswax- too hard add more carrier oil.)

Combine carrier oil and beeswax, and warm oil to melt beeswax.  Stir in honey or vitamin E and then add the Essential oil.  Pour into small jars or balm tubes to harden. You can make a solid perfume using the same method - just add more essential oil.  I always use pure essential oils, however, you could substitute perfume oils.

Cocoa Butter Dry Skin Complex

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  1 drop Clary Sage
  1 drop Rose Morocco Absolute
  2 drops Lavender Bulgarian
  1 drop Geranium
  18 grams Avocado Carrier Oil
18 grams Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
  18 grams Sunflower Carrier Oil
  20 grams cocoa butter (unscented)

This thick, rich "complex" for dry skin is made with lots of cocoa butter and other oils designed to aid dry skin. While it is liquid at room temperature, it is rather thick and requires shaking a little before using. I used unscented cocoa butter so I could add essential oils and not have to worry about a chocolate aroma, but you can use scented cocoa butter just as well if you like the aroma of chocolate. If you use unscented cocoa butter, you will enjoy the blend of essential oils ... a fresh, clean and soothing combination. Place cocoa butter, sesame oil, olive oil and avocado oil in a heat proof (I use Pyrex) measuring cup, and place the cup in a saucepan of boiling water. Once the cocoa butter is nearly melted, remove the mixture from heat and stir with a clean spoon or pop sickle stick to mix well. Make sure the cocoa butter is completely melted and mixed in. Add the essential oils next and stir well to incorporate. Pour the mixture into a glass bottle with a dropper top and dispense a little at a time to soothe and protect dry skin. In cooler climates, this Cocoa Butter Dry Skin Complex could harden a bit. If this happens, just warm it under warm water before using or store it in a sunny window to keep it pourable.

This popular lotion contains: Pure essential Oils of Orange, Grapefruit and Tangerine with a rich Apricot Kernel Oil, Aloe Vera and Jojoba Oil with Vitamin A, D and E.
