 Sinus & Stuffy Nose

 

 

 

Stuffy Nose Aromatherapy Blend

 
   Ingredients:

  13 drops Pine Black Wild Crafted
  15 drops Eucalyptus Globulus
  2 drops Peppermint
 
  Blend the oils together in a clean dark-colored glass container, preferably one with an orifice reducer (a built-in dropper insert). Apply 2-3 drops to a cotton ball and inhale occasionally to help clear a stuffy nose. 
 
 

Sinus Headache Bath Salts

 
   Ingredients:

  2 slices cucumber
  20 drops Peppermint
  1 cup dried peppermint, ground to a fine powder
  3 cups Bath Salt (unscented)
 
 
Have a sinus headache or a head cold? Give this a try! Mix the first three ingredients together. Place in a glass jar. Put 1/2 cup into a bathtub with warm water. Soak in tub with cucumber slices over eyes. Relax.
 
 

Sinusitis Bath

  4 drops Peppermint
  3 drops Lavender French
  4 drops Eucalyptus Globulus
 
  Historically, these oils have been reported to relieve pain, open the sinuses, and aid the body in overcoming both bacterial and viral infections. This blend is mildly stimulating and may keep poor sleepers awake if used before going to bed. If this is the case, we suggest using this blend during the day and lavender oil by itself at night. Mix all ingredients together. Then add to bath by drops to your bath water while it is filling.
 
 

Winter Sinuses

  3 drops Ravensara Wild Crafted  
 
  Mix all ingredients together, and add to a small crock pot full of water or a vaporizer steamer or pot of hot water and inhale.   
 
 

Drug-Free Sinus Relief

 
   Ingredients:

  3 drops Thyme Borneol Wild Crafted
  3 drops Eucalyptus Globulus
  2 drops Peppermint
  2 liters of boiling water
 
 

Inhaling hot steam loosens and thins the mucus in your sinuses so that it can be expelled. Eucalyptus and Thyme essential oils has powerful anti-microbial properties, and peppermint essential oil has a strong fragrance that helps to open sinus passages. Carefully pour the boiling water into a basin and then add the essential oils. Make a towel tent over your head and the bowl and breathe in the steam for 10minutes. Take care not to burn yourself with the steam. Use twice a day.

 
 

 
 

Stuffy Sinuses

  6 drops Eucalyptus Globulus
  3 drops Neroli
  3 drops Lemon
   
  Add to bathwater as you enter, soak and breathe in the aromas. This blend can be carried in your purse to use conveniently outside of the bath tub and can easily be shared with others.
 

To Ease Sinuses

 
    Ingredients:

  2 drops Peppermint
  2 drops Tea Tree
  2 drops Eucalyptus Globulus
 
  Boil a pot of water and remove it from the stove. While it is still steaming, add 2 drops peppermint, 2 drops eucalyptus and 2 drops tea tree, immediately cover the pot and head with a towel and inhale for 3 minutes. Keep Eyes Closed.
 

Facial massage for Sinuses

  4 drops of Cypress
  3 drops of Cedarwood Atlas
  3 drops of Chamomile Maroc
  10 drops Grape Seed Carrier Oil
 
  Mix all ingredients together. Apply to the forehead, around nose and cheeks  sinus areas, and nodes in  neck under earlobes down to collarbone.
 

Sinus Headache Pillow

  1 tbsp Rosemary
  1 tbsp peppermint, crushed
  1 tbsp spearmint, crushed
  1 tbsp dried eucalyptus
  1 tbsp lavender flower
  1/2 cup flax seeds
 
  Perfect for cold and allergy season. You'll sleep like a baby! Cut two pieces of material 10 x 4 inches and sew together. Making a bag, leave one end open & stuff your bag with the above ingredients. Mix together in a bowl. Stuff the bag & sew off the end.
