Muscle Pain

 

 

 

Massage Oil for Sore Muscles

   

   Ingredients:

  4 drops Ylang Ylang Extra Organic
  5 drops Eucalyptus Globulus
  5 drops Rosemary
  15 ml Jojoba Carrier Oil
  This Massage Oil is a calming & relaxing massage treatment will relieve overworked, sore muscles. Blend essential oils listed above with Jojoba Oil. Mix well.
 
 

Ease Muscle Pain

 
   Ingredients:

  2 drops Frankincense
  2 drops Petitgrain
  3 drops Lavender French
 
  Try this recipe of essential oils in a warm (not hot) bath to ease muscle pain. Draw the bath first, add the essential oils, swirl them around with your foot, get in and relax. Allow yourself 10 to 20 minutes. Do not get the bath water in your eyes, as the oils will sting. Use this formula up to once a day for 3 days a week over a two to three week period. 
 
 

Massage oil to Relieve Sore Muscles

  15 drops Peppermint Triple Distilled
  10 drops Rosemary
  4 drops Lavender French
  10 drops Wintergreen
  20 ml Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
  15 ml Jojoba Carrier Oil  

 Mix ingredients and massage into skin several times daily.

 

Soothing Muscle Rub

30 drops Juniper Berry
30 drops Peppermint
30 drops Pine Black Wild Crafted
10 drops Lemon
4 oz Massage Oil (unscented)
 
 
This fragrant muscle rub is especially nice the day after a strenuous workout when muscles may be tight and sore. Mix all ingredients together.


Aches & Pains Massage Oil

 
   Ingredients:

  1 drop Cypress
  1 drop Lavender French
  2 drop Black Pepper
  1 drop Benzoin
  1/2 oz Massage Oil (unscented)
 
 

  Mix all ingredients together. Massage on the affected area.

Backache and Muscular Stiffness

  4 drops Marjoram Wild Crafted  
  2 drops Ginger  
  4 drops Rosemary  
  4 drops Lavender French  
  25 ml Apricot Carrier Oil  
 
  Mix all ingredients together. Massage onto affected area twice daily.

 

Muscle Pain Massage Oil

 
 Ingredients:
  2 drops Rosemary Organic
  2 drops Lavender Russia
  4 tsp Massage Oil (unscented)
 
  Add 2 drops lavender and 2 drops rosemary oil to 4 teaspoons of our massage oil base. Use for a gentle body massage.
 

Ginger Lemongrass Muscle Rub

 
 Ingredients:
7 drops Lemongrass
5 drops Sandalwood Australian
12 drops Ginger
1/4 ounce (about .03 ounces) beeswax
1.5 ounces Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
1 teaspoon (about .02 ounces) lanolin
 
Ginger Lemongrass Muscle Rub is a perfect salve for the hard working muscles in your life. Massage into stressed, stiff and aching shoulders, neck, back, feet -- anywhere a little muscle relief is needed. Please note that this essential oil blend is powerful and you may wish to cut it in half for the first batch. Combine all ingredients except essential oil in a Pyrex measuring cup with a pour spout. Place the cup of ingredients in a hot water bath until the wax is nearly melted. Once the wax is nearly melted, remove the cup from the water bath and stir with a clean utensil to ensure an even mixture. Add essential oil when the mixture just barely begins to harden around the edges of the cup. Stir to incorporate. Pour into jars and allow to cool before capping.
 

Herbal Hot Oil Rub for Cold Joints and Muscle Spasm

 
   Ingredients:

  2 tsp powdered ginger
  2 tbsp mustard powder
  1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  1 cup Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
 
  Avoid applying it to inflamed areas and eyes. Use in very small quantities. Combine half of the herbs and all of the oil in the top of a double boiler. Fill the bottom half of the double boiler with and bring to a boil, than reduce the heat to medium-low. Put the top half of the double boiler on and simmer gently for 2 hours. Do not put the oil over direct heat, you want to avoid burning the oil. After 2 hours, remove from heat and let cool slightly. When cool, strain well. Cheesecloth works well. Place top half with oil back over warm water and add the other half of the herbs. Simmer 2 more hours. Strain thoroughly, pour into clean bottles and date.
 

Muscle Relief

  2 oz Carrier Oil
