Wild Crafted:

This oil is Wild Crafted. Wild Crafted Oils are usually organic but not certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Wild crafted oils are grown wild, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides - grown naturally in areas where the plants are native to the region. Not commercially cultivated.

Aromatherapy Properties: (Uses) Soothing, balancing, uplifting on its own. In combination with other essential oils it is a great fixative that binds more volatile aromas and extends their life.
The resin is extracted from the wild growing trees. They are found mainly in the South American rain forests - particularly Brazil, Columbia, Peru and Venezuela. They have considerable branches and can grow up to 55 to 90 feet in height. The resin is harvested by tapping or drilling holes into the trunk of the tree. In this way it is much like how rubber trees are tapped. Although this resin is often referred to as balsam, it is not a true balsam. May cause possible dermal sensitization.
